About the Wallace-Dickey Cemetery Preservation Association

This website belongs to the Wallace-Dickey Cemetery Preservation Association, a philanthropic organization dedicated to the restoration and maintenance of the Dickey family Cemetery in Ottawa, Illinois.

 

This historic cemetery is the resting place of General William H.L. Wallace, martyred at the Civil War Battle of Shiloh, April 6 & 7, 1862. His family and that of Justice T. Lyle Dickey are interred there.

 

The Wallace-Dickey Cemetery Preservation Association NFP is a 501(c) 3 corporation in Illinois and works in cooperation with:

The Ottawa Avenue Cemetery Association a 501 (c) 13 Cemetery Association in Illinois, the owner of the Dickey Family Cemetery and; The Starved Rock Civil War Round Table, a group of Civil War historians pledged to help with this Association’s goals.
